RUF exists to reach Brown and RISD students with the gospel of Jesus Christ and equip them to serve their local churches after they graduate. We uphold the Bible as the Word of God and believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives. Students from all different backgrounds are welcome here, including those who are already followers of Jesus and those who just want to learn more!

Meet Our Team
Lorena Silva
Lorena was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. At 13, she moved to the United States with her family and made Nashville, Tennessee, her second home. She attended Western Kentucky University, where she received a degree in Music with a concentration in classical guitar. WKU is also where Lorena fell in love with the ministry of RUF. The students and staff there made a lasting impact on her and, by God's grace, she is beyond excited to continue the work at Brown/RISD. Lorena is an avid enjoyer of going to coffee shops and pretending to drink coffee, spending as much time as possible with her friends and is probably the biggest Taylor Swift fan you'll ever meet.
